As of July 2010, Roelant Vos is a certified business intelligence professional (CBIP), specialized in data management! The CBIP exam involves a minimum of three examinations ranging from generic IT to datawarehousing and data modelling. I’m very happy that my employer Analytics8 made this possible.

Congratulations Roelant!
What are your impression about the difficulty of the 3 exams? And do you experience it as a big plus on the market to be CBIP certified? I hear very different opinions about CBIP marketwise.

Thanks! No real effect, but in my opinion it’s one of the few things you can do to demonstrate some level of expertise after the initial basic datawarehouse course. There is not that much out there content-wise 🙂

Congratulations!
In my opinion the best effect from the certification is not demonstration of knowledges (it can be easily demonstrate during interview or communication), but systematization of previously gained experience.
