A pattern for Data Mart delivery

I’ve just completed a new article that outlines a solid approach to
to deliver (generate) a Data Mart on top off a Data Vault.

At least that’s what I think!

I’m always open for discussions, so please contact me for questions and / or feedback.

The document is the result of many discussions and tests, and really makes a case for the ‘insert-only’ Data Vault. It also covers how Data Vault can elegantly manage different timelines and handle late-arriving data while maintaining auditability.

The article (‘A pattern for Data Mart Delivery‘) is available in the white paper section of the weblog, of directly via this link.

Many thanks to Dan Linstedt, Tom Breur and Christian Haedrich for taking the time to providing feedback – really appreciated! And also of course thanks to Scott Diprose for the Table Valued tweaks (and your patience).

Don’t forget, if you’re in Europe have a look at the 3-day implementation training in Berlin, Germany (25th-27th of February – delivered in English!). It’s going to be great! We are also planning some additional (free) hands-on workshops to experiment with topics such as these.
