With the available information about Data Vault as a technique for Data Modelling, it is often the question how to best implement these concepts given a specific technology. These pages aim to provide sufficient structure and background on how exactly do a Data Vault implementation from a technical point of view. It assumes some familiarity with the Data Vault modelling concepts and Data Warehouse background in general.
If you are relatively new to Data Vault, check out this introduction.
I strive to perfect what I refer to as ‘Model Driven Design’, which essentially tries to derive ETL logic from the (structure of) the data model itself. This requires formalisation of modelling conventions and approaches, but when it is setup properly it provides incredible benefits to auto-generate ETL.
